French Army M51 helmets - these are real unissued army helmets.

French Army M51 helmets complete with inner, colour is olive green.

These are in as new or nearly as new condition and have never been issued.

The M51 helmet was France's answer to the US M-1 army helmet and was quite similar in construction and appearance. The shell had a slightly different profile and was belled more the back.

The outer steel shell is fitted with a plastic inner helmet. The inner has a suspension system and is highly adjustable for fit.

Chinstraps are fitted to both the outer steel helmet and the inner.

Most of these helmets are dated from the 1950s, this being marked in the helmet. The inner has the LE MANS white markings.





Recommended for collectors of militaria and military equipment. Would also make fine helmets for paintball, if you can stand paint splatting a well preserved piece of military history.
